"I personally saw it as a gag," Seth Whisnant, 24, a student at the University of South Carolina who voted for Ron Paul.
Kropski Steve, 26, a law student at the University of South Carolina, said he believes most people will be supported by Colbert of Cain as a joke.
"I cannot imagine people [actually vote for Cain], but never underestimate that there are some people who did."
Lindsey Lipscomb, 20, a student at the University of South Carolina who voted for Newt Gingrich, here in Colombia this afternoon, said he did not think Colbert specialists was "wise" because it could take votes away from viable candidates.
"It's just going to take votes and change the margins for all others," he said, adding that he believed that Cain had been a "great candidate" with "a lot of excellent points."
One student and supporter of Ron Paul said he believed that the only students POLITICAL would vote for Cain are people who do not have a strong preference first.
"Some people may have only taken seriously because they do not care about other candidates, do not care to vote for any of them," said Chetna Mehra, a young man of 21 years at USC who voted for Ron Paul. "But I hope no one took him seriously."
