Boehner Uses Romney’s Tax Returns To Attack Obama.House of Representatives, John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced before President Obama's State of the Union will host the oil executives and local leaders affected by the rejection of the president of the Keystone XL pipeline, the most recent attempt by House Republicans to punish Obama for failing to approve the controversial project.

"The rejection of President Obama's Keystone project has caused a public outcry and provide another example of how their policies are doing to our economy worsens," Boehner said in a statement. "The president should U.S. workers an explanation and I hope it will provide an evening with these leaders and job creators at hand."

Boehner guests include Ray Brooks, director of the division of Marathon Petroleum Co. refinery in Robinson, Illinois, and Jay Churchill, the manager of the Conoco Phillips refinery in Roxana Wood River, Illinois, who had recently expanded anticipation of the expansion of the Keystone pipeline. Also present were Dale Delie, president of a pipe producer in Little Rock, Arkansas, who claimed to have fired 60 workers following the decision of the president, and Sen. Chris Langemeier, a member of the Legislature of the State of Nebraska, who serves as chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources and outspoken proponent of the Keystone XL pipeline and author of the compromise legislation that paved the way for a new pipeline route in Nebraska.

The president was expected to make no mention of the Keystone XL during his speech. The pipeline attracted hundreds of activists, including author and advocate Bill McKibben and Greenpeace Executive Director Phil Radford, a protest on the west lawn of the Capitol, culminating in a colorful demonstration outside the headquarters of the American Petroleum Institute.
