Pat Sajak: Vanna White And I Drank Alcohol Before ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Tapings .Pat Sajak has admitted to getting behind the wheel drunk.
In an interview on air with ESPN2 Batard Dan On Tuesday, the 65-year-old "Wheel of Fortune" host was asked if he would indicate intoxicated.
"Yes," said Sajak without stopping long enough to buy another vowel. "When I started, and was much younger and could tolerate these things. We had a different show then. "
Sajak says he and Turner letter Vanna White regularly consume alcohol prior to registration would be to fill idle time created by the original format of the show game.
"Our lunch break is 2 1 / 2 long hours while driving in new cars and boats and gazebos and stuff," says Sajak Le Batard. "So at NBC in Burbank we had a place called Los Arcos across the street, and they served great margaritas.
"So Vanna and I would go through and have two or three and six and then come to the last show and find it difficult to recognize the alphabet."
He added that some of these old episodes would be "great bands to get a hold of."
