Texans Marine’s Widow and Son Surprised

Texans Marine’s Widow and Son Surprised  .Marine Scott Wood died four weeks ago after suffering injuries during combat in Iraq. Before his funeral, his wife wearing two uniforms. Outside, Scott wore his military uniform blues. Underneath, he wore the No. 80 blue jersey Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson.
Sara Wood was married to Scott for eight years. They have a 5 year old son named Landon. Now he and Sarah lived in one room in the house of his parents.
"He knows daddy in the sky," said Sarah Landon ", although I do not know if he understands what that means. He knows Daddy is not coming back. "
When Sara received an offer to go watch the Houston Texans play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, she jumped at the chance. She knew that her husband would have liked to have gone to Reliant Stadium to see his beloved team play. In addition, she and Landon had never been to a game before.
As described in a column by Tully Corcoran FSHouston.com on the team for the game Sara pretext that she and her son would be part of a ceremony in which part-time Landon would get a bike and the memory of Scott would celebrated by the 71,500 in attendance. These two things happened, but a much greater surprise impatience.
The team said Sara, she and Landon would be receiving a customized mortgage-free house in a suburb of Houston. This operation courtesy Finally Home, an organization that builds homes for wounded and disabled veterans or their widows families. In his seven years of existence, the organization has built 32 homes in 32 states, all free of mortgage.
This house will allow the Wood family to stay close to family, but a place of their own. The hope is that she and Landon will move in May. Scott will not be there, but that does not mean Landon will not talk to him.
"We told him he could talk to Dad in his prayers," she says, "and even in the middle of the day, you will see walking around the corner and you hear him say" Now I go to bed for sleep prayer, "who taught him Scott. And then he starts talking to Dad."
