Saratoga Springs - Saratoga Auto Museum's hosting a workshop for the Cubs zone on the science involved in building a winning car pinewood derby.The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. on January 7 at the museum, located at 110 Pine Avenue.
The program will include Tech Talk (the physics of speed), a speed shop and a segment of track time.
Saratoga Auto Museum to host Pinewood Derby Car workshop.To participate in the demonstration complete, pre-registration is required and will be limited to first 40 registrants. Each entry includes a pinewood derby car kit with axles and wheels regulation, which will be assembled at the store segment speed.
Once the cars finished, weighing be preceded by a series of heat races on the track of the Pinewood Derby Garage Sat.
The registration fee for the event is $ 10. This will include a car kit and museum admission for the Scout and an adult.
Participation in the maintenance and tech segments of track time is also open to Cub Scouts who have completed their cars and just want to join the party.
