The video has received over 31 million hits on YouTube and sparked a cottage industry that includes T-shirts, a television commercial and a book coming out on January 24 "Honey Badger do not care," Guide to Randall 10 of craziest, meanest animal in the wild.
Mathieu is only 5 feet 9 inches and 175 pounds, but he was a Heisman finalist sophomore and played for the Tigers on defense and special teams, scoring four touchdowns and create havoc throughout the land.
From the beginning, Mathieu was not exactly thrilled to his new nickname. But he came to embrace it when he and his namesake emerged as national sensations. The Tigers (13-0) will face No. 2 Alabama (11-1) in the championship game Monday night at the Superdome.
"The honey badger is an animal hard," said Mathieu. "There is fierce. And he certainly did not fear anything. So I just try to take the same approach in the field, and just try to play smart football and violent for my team. "
According to Randall, the nickname is a perfect fit for Mathieu.
"I've never seen anyone in any sport that has dominated the point that it has," Randall said. "It is very worthy of the nickname. He really does just what he wants. It's crazy! "

"He came to me in a dream," he said. "I do not know what is happening, but I swear in this dream I watch the game and saw the final score after the fourth quarter the game was done. LSU was on top, 35-10."
Randall said his father was a cameraman on the Mutual of Omaha long-term view "Wild Kingdom", which aroused his interest in nature. His friends soon discovered a natural ability of mind (if profane doped) the narration, which he uses to give his own version of video, sometimes dull with the badger honey and all sorts of other exotic animals.
But this is only the surly little creature, who marvels Randall "is about the size of a Jack Russell," which captured the imagination of everyone.
"When you stop and realize what is happening in our society, it kind of logic," said Randall. "This animal has really struck a chord with people. I think people cannot get enough of it. Finally, here is this animal is just not going to take longer. This is where we are headed. Many people are fed up with the situation they were given in this country. "
While some may argue that other animals are more adventurous, Randall no doubt that is the only honey badger.
