Neville Lawrence, apparently one of jazz, soul and blues dancer, said he had promised not to dance until someone was "doing time" for the 1993 murder of his son.

ITV told Dawn that the convictions last week of Gary Dobson, 36, and David Norris, 35, for the murder of 18-year-old Stephen had been a "watershed" moment for him.

"It's like being under water and hold your breath - when the verdict was read," guilty, "I could not believe, because I had been waiting for so long, is nearly 19 years," he said.

"The tears just started rolling my eyes - the relief.

"One of the things I've done in recent years is making a promise to me that I would never dance again until someone was doing time for the murder of my son.

"This weekend I had the opportunity to dance for the first time in 18 years."

Mr. Lawrence, 69, told the Daily Mail on Friday that plans to attend the birthday party of a friend on Saturday night, which would allow a few modest step.

"But we still will not make my favorite dance," the newspaper said. "I will not do that until every one of the gang who killed my precious son is behind bars."

In his interview of the morning, Mr. Lawrence has renewed its call on Dobson and Norris in turn, other people involved in the racist attack.

"If I was in your shoes and I know that I was involved in something with other people and I am behind bars ... I would start thinking whether I should bear the burden by myself," he said.

"I then called all the other people involved. Therefore I speak to them, even now, to start talking and talking to other people."

Dobson, who is serving a five-year sentence for drug trafficking, was sentenced to at least 15 years and two months at the Old Bailey last week for the murder.

Norris gave a minimum of 14 years and three months for the murder; the judge said it was a "terrible crime and evil."
